I’ve been busy planning ahead for company during the holidays. I like to have something on hand to give out as a little thank you or as gifts to people who visit. This is about as simple as could be and it is such a sweet and thoughtful token. Not to mention, it does double duty as adorable décor sitting on your table. Here’s how I made it:
I picked up some fabric from Hobby Lobby. I chose red and green to mimic apple colors. I bought 1/4 yard of each color, but used less than half of it for my little bushel. My mother picked up the perfect basket for me at Target for $3. Then I just cut some squares from my fabric (I cut along the fold line-in part for ease, but mostly out of sheer laziness and lack of desire to iron it out). Next I added a store bought package of apple cider mix and a Ziploc bag of cranberries with a dash of cinnamon and gathered the sides of my fabric to make a ball. I tied it up with a ribbon and cut off the excess fabric. Just for an extra bout of cuteness, I added a cinnamon stick and a paper leaf.
Now if you have an unexpected visitor drop by, or your UPS delivery person stops by with a package, just hand out one of these great little packets and you’re all set!
