As the end of another school year draws to a close, it is time to start thinking about gifts for your kid’s teachers. It is so hard to find a small token of appreciation that shows just how much you appreciate all the hard work and love that they gave your child for the last nine months without breaking the bank (I’ve got six teachers to buy for this year!). This super simple post-it note stand takes less than $5 ad 5 minutes to make, yet is an adorable way to decorate a teacher’s desk, and it is so easy your kid can make it from start to finish!
Supplies:
small acrylic frame
cardstock
post-it pad
double sided tape
pen and ribbon (optional)
I found my acrylic frame at Michaels for $1.00 (I picked it up when it was 50% off), and I grabbed some cardstock, washi tape and double sided tape from my craft stash.
Cut the cardstock down to the size of the opening of the frame and decorate as you wish. I added a simple piece of washi tape and wrote “notes” across the top of mine. Place it inside the frame, being sure to use the bottom of the frame as a stand. Now add some double sided tape to the back of the post-it note pad and attach it to the frame.
I added a cute little bow and a pen to jazz it up a bit and make for a complete, ready to use gift. Above is a side view to show you the stand.
I have actually been using this little stand on my own desk for the past week and I love it. It’s adorable and makes taking quick notes or even doodling while on the phone that much easier. I think that any teacher would be super happy to receive it a s a gift, especially if there are some cute drawings or personalizations from your kiddo inside the frame.
