We are big Disney fans in my house and have had some of our best memories as a family in the Disney Parks. If you are a Disney lover like us you have most likely experienced the little slice of heaven that is a Dole Whip. It is one of our favorite treats and we always make sure to buy one (or two dozen) while on vaca. Since we went to Disney World at Christmas time this past year, we have been really jonesing for our Dole Whip fix as the heat has turned up this summer. Luckily we discovered that it is easy to make an at home DIY version Dole Whip that is spot on and totally satisfied our craving (although we’re still missing the parks!). This is one you definitely need to try!
- 8 oz Dole frozen pineapple chunks
- 6 oz Dole pineapple juice
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Place pineapple chunks in blender and puree. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until well mixed. Place in freezer for one hour then scoop into glasses to serve. Top with whipped cream for an added treat.
Just sit back, sip on this delicious drink and think about happy times at the Happiest Place on Earth! Here’s a photo from one of our favorite moments from our most recent trip:
That’s our little guy taking on Darth Vader!
And a couple more shots of the Dole Whips to make your mouth water…
Have you tried Dole Whips? Are you as in love with them as we are? Is there another Disney treat that floats your boat? I’d love to hear about it!
