Show of hands: who here loves coffee?
Yep, that’s pretty much all of us, am I right?
Good, because you are going to love this amazing iced vanilla latte protein shake that you can whip up in no time. It’s full of protein, caffeine and did I mention that it’s iced? Cause it is boiling hot here and anything iced is going directly on to my “must make” list.
During a recent trip to Walmart I picked up some EAS Complete Protein Powder (and EAS Complete Protein Ready to Drink for when I am rushing out the door!) and knew that I wanted to come up with some new recipes using it. I found mine right next to the pharmacy with the vitamins and other supplements. You can also shop the entire EAS Complete Protein line from the comfort of your home if that’s more your style.
This is one of my personal favorite protein powders not only because it is a great source of protein while still having calcium, fiber, vitamins, minerals and good for you nutrients, but because it has a sealed top and scoop inside the top so you never have to put your hands in the powder!
It even has this adorable storage system for the scoop. I really hate to put sticky, sweaty post workout hands into powder and have it just cling to you. Yuck. Problem solved, thank you EAS! 🙂
Okay, but now let’s get on to the recipe, because it really is pretty darn tasty!
- ¾ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- ½ cup almond milk
- ½ cup crushed ice
- 1 or 2 shots of espresso (can use ½-3/4 cup regular coffee)
- 2 scoops EAS Complete Protein Powder
- Add all ingredients to a bender and pulse until smooth. Serve immediately.
I’ve mentioned it before, but my hubby is a coffee snob so we are lucky enough to have an espresso machine in our kitchen, but if you don’t have access to one, regular coffee will work just as well.
I swear, between my three kids and everything that I have taken on for myself, I feel like I am running everywhere. There are times, no joke, that I literally find myself jogging through my house so I can get to my next task sooner. But my hour in the gym (yay, we finally got our garage gym set up so my commute is short!) is my non negotiable. I need the time for myself. And if I am going to do all the work, I want products that will help me out too.
I know that sometimes we all see bloggers mentioning products and we wonder if they really mean what they are saying. Let me tell you…I mean it. I love this stuff and honestly do use it in my home.
This shake has a nice, thick and creamy texture that will trick you into thinking that you are getting your favorite coffeehouse treat, but you are actually helping your body in so many ways.
So “indulge” in this flavorful shake and reap the benefits at the same time. EAS Complete Protein Powder can help you manage your weight and increase your energy while benefiting your muscles, bones and digestive system. Plus, with all the protein packed in here between the Greek yogurt and the powder, it will keep you feeling full for quite some time. It’s really just a win-win.
Do you have any protein powder recipes? I would love it if you would share them in the comments. I am always on the hunt! And check out more EAS goodness to find out how much protein you need, see more products and even watch training videos.
*Note: preteens should not use protein powder.
Coffee lover in the hizzy! Any time you put protein and coffee together, I’m there. I’m a coffee snob too, but not for espresso. I’m a fan of craft-brewed coffee made in a coffee press. OH the deliciousness. #client

Haha, so glad we aren’t the only ones, Summer! Hope you give it a shot (pun totally intended) and let me know what you think! 🙂
This sounds great but since I am a diabetic was wondering what the carbs are like. Thanks.
Hi Laura, the carbs would vary with what kind of milk and yogurt you used. The EAS Complete Protein Powder that I used has 14 grams of carbs per two scoops. Hope this helps!
I always put a couple tablespoons of Instant Coffee in my protein shake. So good
I don’t have a exact recipe , but I do use pumpkin spice , cinnamon , nutmeg. Some times I add ginger , this is yummy. It like drinking a pumpkin pie. I use a protein shake to loss weight.
I would like to be able to add protein to my smoothies and shake but so many protein powder have sucralose (Splenda ) in them which I can’t have. Does this one? Can you send me a list of the ingredients and nutrition label?
Thanks! This recipe looks delicious!
Hi Janice, you can find the ingredients list here: http://eas.com/products/powder/eas-complete-protein-powder-vanilla. Hope this helps!
