Who is still going strong with their New Year’s resolutions to be a fitter, healthier you? I have received so many emails and messages lately from readers who are feeling great and enjoying working out and I love it so much! You guys encourage and inspire me!
On that note, one of the best ways that I have found to stay with any new change in life is to reward myself. Say I log a set amount of miles on the treadmill; boom, new running shorts. Eat healthy for a full month…why not pick up that new sports bra you’ve been eyeing?
Really, it’s a great way to keep your eye on the goal, but to also have fun with it at the same time. And in case you are like me, and need to chase that proverbial carrot (or new running shoes!), or you are starting out from scratch, here are 8 of my favorite places to buy affordable workout clothes.
1) H&M
*Sports Tight, Sports Bra, Sports Tank Top all from H&M
Tons of fun options that are super reasonably priced and a lot are mix and match, making it super easy to throw your clothes on and head out the door.
2) Target
*Racerback Tank, Performance Legging, Performance Strappy Tank all from Target
I know this comes as no surprise to any of Target’s loyal fans, but they have excellent sports gear at a really affordable price point. Plus, they usually have a clearance section, so be sure to check it out!
3) Forever 21
*Sports Bra, Paneled Capri Legging, Cutout Back Tank all from Forever 21
These pieces are some of the least expensive to be found, but are super cute and great for mixing and matching. At this price, why not get yourself a whole outfit? 😉
4) Gap
*Pullover, Leggings, Racerback Tank all from Gap
Gap, and its kid sister Old Navy (see number 5 below) are amazing choices for quality gear at reasonable prices. Gap has slightly more upscale, but still edgy and fun options.
Be sure to check out yet another sister company, Athleta, as well. They are my absolute, hands down fave!
5) Old Navy
*T-Strap Tank, Long Sleeve Tee, Pullover all from Old Navy
Lots of bold, bright colors that are easy to wear and easier to mix and match. Cannot go wrong here.
6) JcPenney
*Racerback Tank, Color Block Leggings, CowlNeck Pullover all from JcPenney
With their own line called Xersion, JcPenney has really stepped up to the plate to offer cute and fresh options.
7) TJ Maxx
*Tank, Run Tight, 2fer Tank all from TJ Maxx
If you aren’t shopping for workout gear at TJ Maxx, you’re doing it all wrong! Haha! But really, this is where about 60% of my gym clothes come from. With constantly changing inventory and trusted name brands, this is a one stop shop.
8) Victoria’s Secret
*KnockOut Tight, Show Off Sport Bra, Player Run Short all from Victoria’s Secret
With the VSX line, Victoria’s Secret has knocked one out of the park. The appropriately sized, non uni-boob sports bras are stunningly gorgeous to look at and a dream to wear. It is safe to say that I am obsessed!
I hope that this list gives you a jumping off point and lands you some shiny new gear! Keep going, wherever you are at in your journey!
Hi Kristen!
I have a genious system for getting workout clothes. My brother works for a sports team, and gets free workout stuff all the time. I always ask for the ones that he won’t use anymore.
I realise not everyone is so lucky 😀 Target is a great place to get workout clothes. I used to shop there all the time.
