We all know that come fall Pumpkin Spice rules the world! But did you know that it would take you just a minute to whip up your own batch of the spice to use however (and most importantly, whenever!) you want?!
Chances are good that you have all of the ingredients needed to make your own magical spice already waiting for you in your kitchen, so let’s get straight to it!
- 2 Tbs ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ⅛ tsp allspice
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Store in an airtight container.
Lattes aside, there are so many uses for pumpkin spice! You can add it to my pumpkin spice energy bites, pumpkin pies, muffins, cakes, cookies and breads. But if you’re sold on it being in your coffee, try adding a pinch to your ground coffee beans before brewing your cup for the day. Or you can sprinkle it right on top of your homemade latte and save yourself big bucks!
Isn’t it amazing how this one spice has kind of taken over the world and captured the hearts of many a coffee lover? Wouldn’t this be a great gift to give to all of your girlfriends so they can have a little bit of fall in a jar? They’ll think of you every time they get a whiff of that unmistakable scent!
If stored in an airtight container in your pantry, this spice should last for quite some while, but it probably won’t have the chance…you’ll want to use it up all fall and winter! 🙂
