You guys, it is 90* as I type this and it is so hard to think about it being fall! But the pumpkin spice latte I had yesterday tells me that it is. Although the weather may be trying to play tricks on my mind, the stores are certainly reminding me in full force that the holidays are oh so rapidly approaching. I decided it was time to get my butt in gear and get my fall decorating on before I blink and it’s Christmas!
Come on in, take a seat on my couch and see my home from my point of view.
My entry table got the harvest makeover, complete with wheat and a ceramic turkey. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my beautiful summer chalkboard art that I had to erase to make room for fall.
I’ll let you in on a secret…my hubby does the elaborate art for me. This “gather” is about the best I can manage on my own.
A mix of fake and real pumpkins and gourds makes for pretty filler.
So one of the things that I was most excited about when my dad and I built these big ol’ shelves in my living room was the thought of being able to decorate them for Christmas. I had so much fun styling them with just a few fall knick knacks that I am now basically salivating for winter so I can do it all again!
Just adding a few ceramic pumpkins (some from the dollar store, some from Hobby Lobby, some from Kirklands) on my shelves made a big impact.
I love these sweet little ones next to a fall family photo taken in my favorite place in the world (Montana!).
The contrast between these two is subtle but fun!
And on the other side:
Both of the items below are from the dollar spot in Target ($5 and $3 respectively). This gratitude tree is my favorite thing on all of the shelves.
Always a good lesson to not forget to count your blessings!
Really loving this light up grapevine pumpkin I just picked up at Hobby Lobby.
It’s so fun to sit on my couch and feel all fall-like and homey while looking at my shelves. They’ve made such a huge impact on my house and I just love them!
What do you think? Have you started your fall decorating yet?
How many ways to say nicely done! Love that tree. Hope there is one left when I go to Target. Also, I love Little Women and am always on the look out for a new old copy. If you don’t mind could you send me details or a photo so I can search it out. Happy Fall!

That’s so sweet, Linda! Thank you! Are you looking for more info on the book? It was from my grandmother, and I am sure she found it at a yard sale…she loved to score a good deal at them. I’ll email you a few pictures of the cover. 🙂
Omg, your home looks so adorable!! I simply love the design and the decoration. Thank you for sharing the pics!
