I’m wondering if you are like me and the insanity that is known as fall has kicked into full gear for you??? Between school, sports, traveling and the upcoming holidays our calendar is jam packed and it has been nearly impossible to find time to decorate my house for the fall. I hope that you got a chance to see my fall tour…I am still just oohing and aahing over those shelves!…but this decor was sooooo much quicker and easier! In fact, this DIY fall urn decor took me less than 10 minutes total!
I picked up my supplies at Hobby Lobby (grapevine wreath and faux leaf garland) and Michaels (craft pumpkins) as I found sales and deals. The urn is one that I purchased at Home Depot last year. Because our front porch is super small, it is a great way to change up the look for the seasons. I normally just add some flowers to it and call it a day, but I killed the mums I put in there last year in about a week. I needed something that would stand a chance against my black thumb. Faux everything seemed like the way to go! Hahahaha! You can see the whole process in this video:
It really was as simple as using a craft knife to cut a little hole in the medium and small pumpkins so that they could fit right on top of the stem of the pumpkin underneath and then just stacking it all up.
My wreath fit the top of my urn perfectly, so it all just sits there nicely. You could always tape or glue your topiary together if it doesn’t fit as well.
This was one of those projects that blows my mind by the simplicity but how big of an impact it makes. The pop of color can easily be seen from down the road and it just looks so cozy and inviting with those fall colors!
This is so pretty!! I have an old chair that I use as a planter. This will look so cute in it! Thanks for the inspiration. ☺
Yes! I bet that would look so cute, Sally!!!
