Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Granola Bars Collage

Chocolate and peanut butter can make just about anything taste absolutely amazing if you ask me.  It is truly one of my favorite taste combinations and I have a hard time turning it down in any form.  So while I was digging around in my pantry this afternoon, feeling a particularly annoying craving for some delicious PB and chocolate, I noticed that my kiddos were down to their last pre-packaged granola bar that I throw into lunch boxes on busy mornings.  Call it fate or kismet or just darn luck, but I ended up making some homemade chocolate peanut butter granola bars that not only hit the spot for my cravings, but just about made me eat the entire pan, because they are so yummy!  Not to mention, they are relatively healthy, with only five ingredients, and a snap to prepare.  Please tell me that you are ready to make your own, because if you’re not, you are totally missing out.  Here is what you’ll need to make your own bars:

  5. These are delicious! I’m wondering if anyone’s tried making them with almond butter…..

    • Kathy, I haven’t tried almond butter yet, but I have some in the pantry and might just give it a shot this week. It should work out just as well, since the butters have a similar consistency. If you try it, please let me know how it works out.
