Thanks to my favorite fast food chain, frozen lemonade has quickly become one of my favorite ways to treat myself. Although not very diet friendly, the frozen lemonade is cool, tart and refreshing and goes hand in hand with summer. Whipping them up at home is super quick and makes it dangerously easy to enjoy one whenever you want!
Is anyone else obsessed with Chick-fil-A the way that my family is? It’s such a great atmosphere for the kids and I just love the healthier menu options. And while the frozen lemonade is not on that list, it generally finds it way to sit next my salad anytime that we eat there. I just can’t resist it!
The quality of the lemonade used for this recipe makes a huge difference. You can choose to make your own or just use a high quality, fresh variety.
Add lemonade and ice cream in a blender and pulse until just smooth. You don’t want to over blend and end up with a runny drink, so keep an eye on it.
- 1½ cups fresh lemonade
- 3 cups vanilla ice cream
- whipped cream (optional)
- Add lemonade and ice cream to a blender and pulse until smooth. Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream. Serve immediately.
If you’re like me and have zero self control when it comes to yummy treats, beware! Because this is so, so yummy and it will suck you in. Topped with some whipped cream, it becomes impossible for me to turn down!
What’s your favorite treat to cool down during the hot summer months? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. Ice cream is definitely my kryptonite when the heat is blazing, but I love basically any kind of dessert any time!
