Generally the words “yeast breads” and “quick” don’t go hand in hand but here is a delicious contradiction to that generalization. These rolls take just over thirty minutes (35 to be exact), but they bake up nice and fluffy just as you would expect any yeast roll to do. They are a scrumptious rule breaker and you really must try them. Here is the recipe:
As usual when making a yeast bread, make sure to use warm water. Too hot and it will kill the yeast, too cold and it will not bloom. It’s a bit of a fine line, but once you have made any yeast bread a handful of times, you’ll get the hang of it and it is so worth it. Your yeast should look like it does below after resting for 15 minutes.
These are amazing right out of the oven but I’ve also found that they reheat well, even in the microwave. And if you’re looking for a really decadent treat, make sure to try them with the honey cinnamon butter recipe that I will be posting tomorrow.
